P90X – Power Extreme 90 Week Two Review
I just completed two entire weeks of the P90X program, and today starts week three for me. It’s been a challenging two weeks, although week two went much better than week one, as evidenced by the fact that there will be no soreness meter this week! I also have seen noticeable improvements, which I’ll talk about in my recap at the end of this article. (more…)
P90X – Power Extreme 90 Week One Review
This is my first official (personal) review of the P90X workout system. I’ve just completed day 2 of the second week (Plyometrics), so this is a good time to give my thoughts on the first week of the program.
I wanted to quit after two days. The second day, I was so sore I asked my wife to put my dinner in a blender and feed me through a straw so I didn’t have to move (well, I wanted to)! More on that later. (more…)
Does “too busy” Really Mean “it’s not that important”?
If you’re like me, “I’m too busy” is a regular part of your vocabulary. There’s so many things I want to do, but it seems like I just don’t have the time. No matter how hard I try, I just can’t seem to find enough time to do some of the things which i consider very important…or can I?
Is it that I’m really too busy, or is it that it’s not important enough? Think about that for a minute. If you really think it’s important to find an hour a day for physical exercise or an hour for self-development, do you think you can find an extra hour each day to get it done? (more…)
P90X – The Power 90 Extreme Home Fitness Program Overview
In Part 1 and Part 2, I wrote about my decision to start the P90X program, how I motivated myself and made the commitment to complete P90X, and why I chose P90X.
I haven’t really talked much about the P90X program itself, though. This is an overview of the P90X workout program. I’ll try to keep this article as factual as possible, and leave my personal opinions and recommendations for my updates and final review. This will be a long article, as I’m trying to be as thorough as possible so you’ll know what to expect. (more…)
Don’t Wait For Someday
We all have dreams. Some people dream bigger than others. Some people’s dreams become reality, some people’s dreams become failure, and some people’s dreams just remain dreams.
How many times have you had a dream and said ‘someday that’s going to happen’? Maybe you’ve said “someday I’m going to start my own business,” or “someday I’m going to get in shape.” (more…)
Committing to be Healthy and Fit with P90X – Part 2
In the first part of this article, Committing to be Healthy and Fit with P90X – Part 1, I talked about my decision to begin working out using the P90X program, and eating healthy foods using the P90X Meal Plan.
I went over the excuses I used to not work out or worry about my eating habits (for the last 20 years), and my motivation and plan that gives me the confidence that this time I will succeed, no matter what!
But Why P90X?
First off, let me start by saying that I’m in no way affiliated with P90X. I’m not a P90X coach, and I’m not part of any P90X affiliate programs. I’m just sharing my personal experience to help hold myself accountable, and to help inspire others that are considering taking on the P90X program, or any other plan to improve their health and fitness. Committing to be Healthy and Fit with P90X – Part 1
What does P90X have to do with success? Well, I’m a firm believer that the benefits from working out regularly and eating well play a huge role in your success. The self-confidence, abundance of energy, and overall health you’ll gain from a proper workout and nutrition should not be overlooked, as they are a key part of achieving success.
But getting in shape (and staying in shape), eating healthy foods and living a healthy lifestyle is much easier said than done. Most of us realize how important this is, but we just can’t manage to pull it off. (more…)
